Mission Critical System 01 and System 02 Baby Carriers can hold children weighing from 8-35 lbs. You can begin using our carriers once your child is able to hold their head upright unassisted and their chin clears the "U" on the chest side of the carrier. This corresponds to approximately 3 months (or 11” sitting height) for the inward-facing position, and approximately 12 months for the outward-facing position.

The Mission Critical System 01 Baby Carrier is a chest carry that allows your child to face in or out based on their stage of development. The System 02 Baby Carrier allows for both front and back carry, with the front carry offering both inward and outward facing positions based on their stage of development. For the outward-facing front position of both System 01 and 02 Baby Carriers, your child's mouth must be above the front of the carrier to ensure unobstructed breathing. This corresponds to approximately 12 months old for the outward-facing position.

Yes, we work with the leading safety consultants and independent testing labs to ensure that our products meet or exceed all child safety standards. Our baby carriers meet all applicable ASTM federal regulations, exceed the highest levels of established product testing, and are also National Parenting Center Approved.

The carrier should be spot cleaned only with warm soapy water and air dried. In the case of a very messy situation (we know those happen!), place the carrier in a pillowcase (be sure to secure the open end of the pillowcase so the carrier does not fall out in the wash) and wash on the cold gentle cycle, then allow it to air dry only. Do not use detergents with bleach, perfumes, dyes, chlorine, or optical brighteners. 

The removable liner of the System 01 Baby Carrier can be machine washed on cold in the gentle cycle and air dried. Do not use detergents with bleach, perfumes, dyes, chlorine, or optical brighteners.

Yes, Mission Critical System 01 and System 02 Baby Carriers have many adjustment points to fit a wide variety of body types. The shoulders adjust to change the height of the baby on your chest and the waist can extend up to 60+ inches around. All the straps securing the baby are fully adjustable for maximum comfort and safety as your little one grows.

Yes, we do. To ship to an APO, FPO, or AE address, follow these four steps when filling out the shipping address at checkout: 

1. Enter the recipient's full name and address in the relevant fields. 

2. Enter "APO/FPO/AE" in the “city” field. 

3. Select one of the following from the “state” drop-down menu (depending on where the recipient is stationed): Armed Forces Americas -- Armed Forces Europe -- Armed Forces Pacific. 

4. Select “United States” from the “country” drop-down menu (regardless of the country where the recipient is stationed).
